Month: August 2005

  • the second day of school. Tech started! Yea! Now I'm back into my
element and stuff, ehich is very nice, I must admit. And I have to see
Lauren at lunch tomorrow, wanna show her my costume kitty ears for a
    digital art project.

  • Finally, I have added the last day, Day 3 of the trip, tho I think it might be a bit late...

    The John Tesla fountain

    Niagra Falls from a balcony

    The Skytower in Niagra Falls

    Gardens

    More Niagra Falls

We also went on the Maid of the Mist, which was really wet so I couldn't take too many pics, but it was fun.

Near the Falls there was a wax museum of celebrities, which
kinda stank since the people looked so unreal sometimes. Lots of
    comments.

Angelina Jolie, or a wannabe I think...

Brendan Fraser, which looked better than Angelina.

    The two together.

    An ugly Indiana Jones

    Clark Gable, or Rhett Butler

    Meryl Streep

    The Rainman

    Moulin Rouge with Nicole Kidman

    Crocodile Dundee

    Colin Farrell

    Who doesn't remember these guys?

    Batman and the Joker

    The Terminator

    It's Superman!

    Legally Blonde

    Austin Powers

    Hercules

    Lord of the Rings

    Braveheart

    Harry Potter

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

The Wizard of Oz section, which was not very impressive. Note the burns on Dorothy and the wrong costumes.

    Marilyn Monroe

    Star Wars

    Ocean's 11

    Cher

    Elvis

    Bette Midler

    Madonna

    Elvira

    Dracula

    Frankenstein

    Skytower Pics

The noseprint from running head on into a pane of glass. Look very carefully...

    The Skytower

    A Goldman

    Me with the Goldman

  • school started, bleh. At least I got to see all my friends again!
Wednesday is Carolyn's birthday, so I'm getting her present together
quick. Since I pissed off Lizzie, I decided to make her a t shirt as a
peace offering, which I think will work. The pic below is one of the
inspirations for the t shirt graphics. Anyway, tech starts tomorrow, so
I have to bake and bring food again! Yay!

    This one is Dream

  • Finally, I present Day 2 of the Canada trip!

    Brightly colored moose or meese...

My dad with the Chinese moose

Bad Chinese restaurant... Very bad indeed.

My dad gives his rating. Thumbs down.

The restaurant we should have gone to

    The Toronto nightlife

    Now you see me...

More blurry night shots, my sister wanted some

That's it for Day 2! More coming soon! Hopefully...

  • I've been so lazy lately on updating. Stupid me. Heh heh. Yesterday was
soo much fun, I went with Lauren to see the Lion Dance show and we met
up with Mok-Yi. The show was awesome, it was a perfect way to end the
summer and I can't wait to learn it!

  • I finally decided to upload all of my Canada pics, lazy me. So here they are for Day 1, with commentary.

The river that my dad dragon boated on during his last trip to Canada.

    Seagulls watching in the stands

Me in Montreal. (Like Lauren, I no take good pictures either. Modeling
is not in my future. I find it weird or awkward to smile...)

Montreal, Chinatown. This place was so cool! There's nothing like this
at home, so it was like I was in deprival, which was probably the case.
I guess its like Calvin's theory back at camp or something. They had
    some sweet stone carvings.

This stuff was interesting. Apparently Chinese people like to name
certain foods after dragon parts or something. Thats a bit creepy, but
its culture, oh well. I didn't get to try any, it had peanuts, so I was
    allergic to it.

More stone carvings and a motorcycle. Curiouser and curiouser.

That's it for Day 1, stay tuned for Days 2 and 3!

  • school is starting soon! Noooo! Where did the summer go? Oh well, at
least I'll see all my friends again, I suppose. I wanna get started on
my shoes soo bad, cuz I have to handglue each and every gem to the
flats, I'm not gonna be a maiden for Halloween. I'm doing an evil
version of the Wizard of Oz, and I'm a male version of Dorothy, so I
have to make my "Bloodstone shoes" instead of Ruby Slippers. Twisted,
    no?

  • updates! I have a costume that I'm making and it looks a hell of a lot
better than my wench wear. Long blouse, black top and yellow skirt and
petticoat make it perfect for the Renaissance festival! Couldn't find a
model for the dress, so its on the floor for now. (Lena, Steffie, Alex,
    triplets...) Also found really
cool shoes to finish the dress, going to a friend of mine, probably
    Lena
or Steffie or Alex, because since they're short the dress skirt will be
longer for them. And to show WMACS people see that I'm not evil and
I have live fluffy animals, I put pics of my kitties on too, putting up
    with my costuming.

The dress so far. Needs trims and embellishments.

The shoes from Chinatown. Good for maidens as well as Alice in Wonderland. These are gonna be rentals, definitely. Score!

My cat O'Malley, tired, awww... ( He doesn't like pictures.)

O'Malley staring away from the camera while my sister takes a picture. He looks all cool and somehow Asian like, creepy.

Duchess, the other cat. She loves taking pictures, for some odd reason. Hmmn, oh well. (All snuggly and cute for now)

When she's tired, she gets grouchy, like an old lady or me during exam studying. heh heh. GO AWAY!!!

  • Today was somewhat boring in the morning, but it got better later on. I
went to Lauren's house again later on and hung out. It was fun and I
tried helping her brother with Kingdom Hearts but he was rally far back
so I didn't know where to start. Oh well. Friday is Lion Dance which is
fun and my dad is taking me, Lauren and her siblings. Yes! And I'll see
my WMACS people again. Good/bad. Score! I forgot to upload my Niagra Falls pics, oops.

  • On other thoughts, I'm going a bit sketchy lately, even more so than
usual. One time I thought I saw something move, so I had the oddest
urge to follow it, to see where it went. I'm also imagining clowns and
Jason from Halloween to pop out of my shower curtain or out of the
darkness when all the lights are off and I'm staying up late at night.
And on top of it all, I feel like reprising or making Alice or the dark Grimm's
fairy tale Snow White for a friend's gothic film so I have to remake my
dress or just get my Ren stuff together, which will give me something
to do. Lauren, if you're reading this, this is about to become a
costuming evaluation, which will be very long and lengthy as well as
freaky. . My art competition pieces are almost done, and I think I have all my school stuff ready. Blah.
First  idea to the left, second idea below. Actually, the red isn't that bad, and Kristin Kreuk is very pretty.

My last attempt during WMACS trying to pull off peasant princess garb, not too pretty. Got Lizzie pissed soo bad. Oops.
Me during the Helena dance scene.  Modern dance at its most campiest.

The infamous tavern wench or the halter top outfit that pissed off or
scared so many people. Those who are easily queasy turn away!
Gaze upon it in horror! Though I am reusing the black top, arm bands
    and my jewelry.
